Construction is a solid four- or five-layer build: real wood overlays, an optional tongue-and-groove base, a polystyrene-insulated Hemlock frame rated at R-5.9, and a tough Luan interior backer. The doors look like they swing open but operate overhead like any modern door.
You choose from eight classic carriage house designs and eight paint- or stain-ready wood species, with ten standard finishes and a big custom color program. True divided windows come standard for the authentic look, three-panel sections allow larger window openings, and a one-piece drip cap keeps water off the grooved overlays. Every door uses sustainably harvested or naturally fallen wood. WindCode reinforcement is available for high-wind areas. Our crew installs and services these, and the on-site quote is free.

Yes. The Hemlock frame carries polystyrene insulation rated at R-5.9, wrapped with a Luan interior backer. It will not match a thick polyurethane steel door, but for a real wood door it keeps the garage noticeably more comfortable.
Do these doors swing open like old carriage doors?
They look like they do, but they operate overhead like a modern door, so your opener and daily routine work normally. If you want actual swing-out operation, ask us about the Reserve Wood Custom.
