Clopay Grand Harbor Garage Doors
Carriage house charm at a price that leaves room in the budget, with steel durability where it counts.
Why homes pick the Grand Harbor
The Grand Harbor is our honest answer when someone loves the carriage house look but the budget has a ceiling. It starts with a rugged 24-gauge steel base in a woodgrain-embossed finish, then adds smooth composite overlays that create the carriage house lines without wood maintenance. Construction comes in two- or three-layer versions, and insulation is optional: a 1-5/8-inch vinyl-backed polystyrene core rated at R-6.3 for garages that need the comfort.
There are eight designs across four series, 26 top section options including an unusually wide range of solid and window styles, and five decorative hardware pieces. The base comes in four factory colors, White, Almond, Desert Tan, and Sandtone, and the door takes exterior latex paint well if you want something more custom. WindCode reinforcement is available for high-wind areas. We install plenty of these, we service what we install, and the on-site quote is free.
A 24-gauge steel base with smooth composite overlays. The carriage house look without the premium-collection invoice.
Add a 1-5/8-inch polystyrene core at R-6.3 if your garage needs it, or skip it and save if it does not. We will tell you honestly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Grand Harbor insulated?
Insulation is optional. You can add a 1-5/8-inch vinyl-backed polystyrene core rated at R-6.3, which we recommend for attached garages. For a detached garage you may not need it, and we will say so rather than upsell you.
What colors does the Grand Harbor come in?
The steel base comes in four woodgrain-textured factory colors: Almond, Desert Tan, Sandtone, and Standard White, with the overlay in white only. If you want something else, the door can be painted with quality exterior latex paint.
How does it compare to the Coachman?
Both are steel-plus-overlay carriage house doors. The Coachman offers more insulation choices, more designs, and more factory color combinations, while the Grand Harbor keeps the same general style at a friendlier price with optional insulation. We can quote both so you see the gap.
Can I preview the Grand Harbor on my own home?
Yes. Use our Design Your Door page to upload a photo of your house and preview Grand Harbor designs and top sections on your actual garage.
How long is the wait for a Grand Harbor?
Lead times change with configuration and season, so we skip printing a number that could mislead you. Ask for current lead times at your free on-site quote.
